The earliest days of a newborn is the sweetest time you will ever have with your child.It is a precious time. It is a time of bonding, of loving and being loved. The touch, the softness, the scent of that precious little darling is still with me as I recall the fun times I had playing with my new arrival.

Yes, playing. It is amazing when I look back at my playtimes with my little girl. She couldn’t see me very well – after all, a baby’s eyes are blurry for a few weeks when they’re brand new – but I would get close to her face and touch her – making comforting sounds and she would start to gurgle and coo, responding to my voice and my touch. She loved it.

Then I would move my head from side to side, grin and make funny noises much to her delight and even stick out my tongue. She would gurgle in delight. It was a fun game and I wouldn’t take anything for the priceless memory I hold in my heart.

Soon she was touching my face and I would pretend I was getting her nose and putting it on my face. We had such fun shaking rattles, making faces and playing peek-a-boo! I bet I had even more fun than she did!
